TLDR Two patients with stubborn hair loss grew hair after PDRN injections.
Two patients with recalcitrant alopecia areata (AA) who did not respond to intralesional corticosteroid treatment showed significant hair regrowth after receiving intralesional polydeoxyribonucleotide (PDRN) injections. This suggests that PDRN, which stimulates the adenosine receptor similarly to minoxidil, could be an effective treatment for AA, although more data is needed to confirm its efficacy.
