TLDR Triamcinolone can regrow hair in alopecia areata, but the effect is temporary.
This study evaluated the effectiveness of intralesional triamcinolone suspension in treating alopecia areata in 4 patients. Each patient received subcutaneous injections of 0.2 ml (2 mg) of 0.1% triamcinolone suspension in single lesions or parts of lesions. The goal was to determine if this method could stimulate hair regrowth without the systemic side effects associated with cortisone. The study aimed to address the challenge of maintaining hair regrowth for extended periods post-treatment.
