    This study compared the efficacy of intralesional injections of platelet-rich plasma (PRP) versus triamcinolone acetonide in treating alopecia areata in 108 patients at Mayo Hospital, Lahore. The study found that PRP was more effective, with 64% efficacy in the PRP group compared to 36% in the triamcinolone group, although the difference was not statistically significant (P=0.011). The results suggested that PRP injections were a safe and effective treatment option for alopecia areata, showing higher efficacy than triamcinolone acetonide.
