TLDR LGF injections may improve early Peyronie's disease by reducing penile curvature and plaque size.
This study evaluated the effect of intralesional lyophilized Platelet Derived Growth Factors (PDGF) in 42 patients with Peyronie's disease, with 4 lost to follow-up. Patients received 6 injections over 12 weeks, and results showed a significant decrease in penile curvature from 34.62° to 11.40° and a reduction in plaque size from 2.70 cm to 1.43 cm. Improvements were also noted in the Peyronie's Disease Questionnaire scores and Erection Hardness Score, with no patients remaining at the lowest response levels post-treatment. The study suggests that LGF injections may improve early cases of Peyronie's disease, though further research is needed to confirm efficacy.
