Intraovarian Platelet-Rich Plasma Administration Could Improve Blastocyst Euploidy Rates in Women Undergoing In Vitro Fertilization

TLDR Platelet-rich plasma may improve embryo genetics in IVF.
This pilot study investigated the effects of intraovarian platelet-rich plasma (PRP) administration on embryo genetics in 12 infertile women with previous failed IVF cycles. The study found that after PRP treatment, the percentage of euploid embryos significantly increased from 8.11% in cycle 1 to 39.28% in cycle 2 (p=0.002). Although the number of good-quality embryos at the blastocyst stage was similar between the two cycles, the improvement in euploidy rates suggests that PRP may have a beneficial paracrine effect on meiotic aberrations in oocytes. However, the impact of PRP on live birth and miscarriage rates requires further investigation in larger trials.

Someone's brother tried Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) for hair loss; it had minimal effect on hair but improved skin appearance. Microneedling at home was suggested as a more sustainable alternative.
