Identification of Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) Hair Loss Prevention: A Study in Birdem General Hospital, Dhaka, Bangladesh

    The study conducted at Birdem General Hospital in Dhaka, Bangladesh, involved 30 male patients aged 15-50 years with androgenetic alopecia. The research aimed to assess the effectiveness of Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) treatment. Results showed significant clinical improvement in hair count, thickness, and density after 2-3 PRP sessions, with a statistically significant p-value (p=0.00). The study concluded that PRP is an effective treatment for androgenetic alopecia, as 20 out of 30 patients showed varying degrees of improvement according to the Jaeschke scale.
