    This meta-analysis assessed the efficacy of platelet-rich plasma (PRP) in treating skin aging by reviewing 9 randomized controlled trials with 358 patients. The results showed that PRP significantly improved patient satisfaction and objective efficacy compared to control groups, with risk ratios of 1.34 and 1.42, respectively. Although some studies noted potential adverse effects, the pooled analysis found no significant difference in adverse effects between PRP and control groups. The study concludes that PRP is a minimally invasive, low-risk treatment with promising potential for clinical application in alleviating skin aging and improving skin texture. However, limitations such as small sample sizes and variability in study protocols suggest the need for further research with standardized methods and larger sample sizes to confirm long-term efficacy and safety.
