TLDR Polarized light therapy helps hair regrowth in alopecia areata patients.
The study investigated the effect of polarized light therapy on hair regrowth in 30 patients with alopecia areata, aged 18-35, divided into two groups: one receiving polarized light therapy and the other receiving only minoxidil. The treatment group underwent 10-minute sessions twice a week for 2 months. Results indicated a significant increase in hair regrowth in the treatment group, as measured by a 7-point assessment scale and hair counting, suggesting that polarized light therapy was effective in improving hair regrowth in alopecia areata patients.
