TLDR PRP injections are not proven effective for treating erectile dysfunction.
This study assessed the safety and efficacy of platelet-rich plasma (PRP) injections for erectile dysfunction (ED) in 52 participants with mild to moderate ED. Participants were divided into two groups, with one receiving PRP injections and the other receiving saline injections. The results, measured by the International Index of Erectile Function (IIEF), showed no significant differences between the PRP and placebo groups at 1, 3, and 6 months, with p-values of 0.683, 0.653, and 0.727, respectively. The study concluded that PRP injections are safe but not effective in managing mild-to-moderate ED, as they did not outperform placebo.
