TLDR PCOS is common among Indian women, often with metabolic issues, needing better management strategies.
In a cross-sectional study conducted among reproductive-age women across India, a high prevalence of Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) was observed, with phenotype C being the most common. The majority of these women exhibited metabolic abnormalities. These findings highlight the importance of developing preventive and therapeutic strategies and suggest the potential integration of PCOS management into national health programs.
