TLDR OR101 may effectively treat atopic dermatitis and similar skin conditions.
The study evaluated the effectiveness of OR101, a JAK3-selective compound, in a humanized murine model of atopic dermatitis (AD). Fifty immunodeficient mice were used, each xenotransplanted with healthy human skin and treated with varying doses of OR101 or controls. Results showed dose-dependent improvements in epidermal thickness and reductions in key AD markers such as CCL17/TARC, periostin, IL-13, TSLP, and mast cell tryptase. Additionally, OR101 increased filaggrin expression in the skin. These findings suggest that OR101 has potential as a treatment for AD and other T cell-driven inflammatory skin diseases.
