TLDR Nutritional supplements can significantly reduce hair loss in telogen effluvium after three months.
In 2014, a study was conducted on 60 female patients suffering from telogen effluvium, a type of hair loss, to assess the impact of nutritional supplementation on their condition. The patients were given nutrient supplements at food doses for 180 days. The results showed a significant improvement in hair loss, with a notable increase in anagen (growth phase) hairs and a decrease in telogen (resting or shedding phase) hairs. The study concluded that replenishing nutrients related to the hair cycle can significantly benefit the regression of hair loss in cases of telogen effluvium without an apparent cause, as early as three months into the treatment.
