TLDR Superoxidized electrolyzed solution (SES) is more effective for burn healing than common antiseptics.
The study investigated the effectiveness of superoxidized electrolyzed solution (SES) in treating full-thickness burns in a mouse model, comparing it to common treatments like nitrofurazone and silver sulfadiazine. Results showed that SES-low, especially when combined with a gel formulation, outperformed other treatments in promoting organized wound healing and reducing inflammation. By day 32, all treatments achieved wound closure, but SES-low was the most effective in inducing favorable healing, while silver sulfadiazine was the least effective due to its pro-inflammatory effects.
