TLDR Minoxidil slows down keratinocyte growth without being toxic.
The study examined the effect of minoxidil on the growth of keratinocytes in vitro and found that it inhibits their growth at concentrations higher than those observed in vivo. Minoxidil was found to impair the response to growth factors without altering viability, indicating a lack of toxicity. The study suggests that further research is needed to understand the mechanism of action of minoxidil on hair growth.
