TLDR Adding PRP to minoxidil and finasteride is more effective for hair loss.
This study compared the effectiveness of two treatments for androgenic alopecia in 50 male patients over a year. Group A received topical minoxidil (5%) and finasteride (0.1%), while Group B received the same topical treatment plus platelet-rich plasma (PRP) monthly for 6 months. Results showed that the PRP group had a significantly better response, with 65% showing good results compared to 26% in the non-PRP group. The study concludes that adding PRP to the conventional treatment is safe and more effective, especially for patients who do not respond well to standard therapy.
