TLDR Microneedling is an effective, safe, and affordable method to treat skin conditions like scars and wrinkles.
Microneedling (MN) is a non-surgical method used to treat various dermatological conditions such as scars, rhytides, and dyschromia. The process involves puncturing the skin with thin needles to create small channels of dermal and epidermal damage. This damage stimulates the removal of old collagen and promotes new growth and remodeling, aided by elastic fiber formation, fibroblasts, and platelet-derived growth factors. The procedure also triggers the release of cytokines and promotes keratinocyte migration and vasodilation to heal the micropunctured epidermal damage. Microneedling is gaining popularity due to its cost-effectiveness, safety, simplicity, and the minimal experience required to perform it.
