A Review of Medicinal Uses and Pharmacological Activities of Tridax Procumbens (L.)

The review of Tridax procumbens highlighted its potential medicinal uses due to its secondary metabolites, which were reported to have anti-anemic, anti-inflammatory, anti-diabetic, and anesthetic properties. Originating from Central and South America, this plant has been traditionally used by various communities. The study involved an extensive literature review, resulting in 111 relevant citations, emphasizing the need for further research to fully understand its medicinal potential. The findings suggested that T. procumbens could serve as an effective, safe, and affordable treatment for certain ailments, particularly in tropical regions where it is native and widely available.
