TLDR Tridax procumbens may help treat diabetes.
The study investigated the anti-diabetic potential of Tridax procumbens by examining its petroleum ether, chloroform, and methanol extracts for in-vitro alpha amylase activity. The percent inhibition values of these extracts were compared to standard anti-diabetic agents, acarbose and quercetin. The research aimed to explore the medicinal uses of Tridax procumbens for diabetes treatment and to enhance the scientific understanding and value of anti-diabetic medicinal plants.
