    TLDR Tridax procumbens is a widely used medicinal plant with many health benefits.
    The review on Tridax procumbens Linn., a herbaceous weed known as coat buttons or Bhringraj, highlighted its widespread distribution in India and its use in Ayurvedic medicine for liver disorders and hair growth. The plant contained various phytochemicals, including alkaloids, carotenoids, flavonoids, and tannins, with significant amounts of oleanolic acid, sodium, and potassium. Bioactive components such as luteolin and quercetin were also identified. The plant exhibited numerous pharmacological activities, including anti-microbial, anti-oxidant, wound healing, hepato-protective, anti-diabetic, immune modulating, anti-cancer, anti-inflammatory, and anti-hair fall properties. The review aimed to provide a comprehensive profile of Tridax procumbens, potentially aiding in the development of new medical treatments.
