TLDR The F2 Emulgel with Tridax procumbens extract showed good physical properties and antimicrobial effectiveness for wound healing.
The study aimed to create and assess an Emulgel containing Tridax procumbens extract, a plant known for its medicinal properties, including wound healing and hair growth promotion. The Emulgel was formulated using Carbopol 940, Span 80, Tween 80, Light Liquid paraffin, Triethanolamine, methyl paraben, and the plant extract. The resulting product was evaluated for pH, spreadability, viscosity, compatibility, and antimicrobial properties. The evaluation concluded that the formulation labeled F2 Emulgel exhibited superior physical properties and antimicrobial effectiveness, making it a promising candidate for wound healing applications.
