The study investigated the hypoglycemic and anti-hyperglycemic effects of Tridax procumbens in diabetic rats, using a methanolic extract at doses of 250 and 500 mg/kg. The extract significantly reduced fasting blood glucose levels, with a maximum reduction of over 68% within 6 hours, surpassing the effects of the standard drug Glibenclamide.
