TLDR The laser therapy device effectively increased hair growth in people with androgenetic alopecia.
The study investigated the efficacy of low-level laser therapy (LLLT) using the LG Pra.L HGN1 device for treating androgenetic alopecia over 16 weeks. It was a randomized, double-blind, sham device-controlled trial involving 48 participants aged 19 to 65. Participants were divided into two groups, with a 2:1 ratio of using the LLLT device or a sham device. The primary endpoint was the change in hair density, assessed using phototrichogram and global photographic assessment. Results showed that the LLLT group experienced a significant increase in hair density compared to the sham group. The study concluded that the LLLT device was effective in promoting hair growth in individuals with androgenetic alopecia.
