TLDR Patients with nevus comedonicus suppurativa should be monitored for diabetes.
This document reports a case of late-onset nevus comedonicus suppurativa in a 47-year-old male patient with diabetes mellitus, presenting on the midline of the forehead. While examinations for NC syndrome were normal, the coexistence of NC suppurativa and diabetes mellitus suggests a potential link that may not be incidental. The authors recommend regular monitoring of patients with NC suppurativa for signs of diabetes mellitus and suggest that future studies should include diagnostic tests for diabetes in all patients with NC suppurativa to further investigate this potential association.
