TLDR Men with androgenetic alopecia have lower Keratin 15 levels in their frontal hair follicles.
The study aimed to compare Keratin 15 expression in the frontal hair follicles of normal adult men and those with androgenetic alopecia. It involved 20 skin specimens, 10 from each group. Results showed a significant difference in Keratin 15 expression, with higher levels in the normal group compared to the alopecia group. This indicated that Keratin 15 expression was lower in men with androgenetic alopecia.
