TLDR Living Skin Equivalent transplantation helps heal ischemic non-healing wounds.
The study investigates the effectiveness of Living Skin Equivalent (LSE) transplantation in treating ischemic non-healing wounds using histology and immunohistochemistry. It examines the impact on inflammatory cell infiltration, tissue formation, wound margin condition, and angiogenesis. A new smoothing coefficient is introduced to evaluate tissue remodeling, with high values indicating enhanced granulation tissue growth and reduced cosmetic defects. The findings suggest that the proposed ischemic non-healing wound model is suitable for preclinical studies of BCP, highlighting its potential in regenerative processes.
