TLDR EH-MSCs may help treat hair loss by boosting regeneration and reducing inflammation.
This study investigated the effects of hypoxia-conditioned mesenchymal stem cell exosomes (EH-MSCs) on cytokine expression in a dihydrotestosterone-induced mouse model of androgenetic alopecia, using 34 male C57BL/6 mice divided into five groups. The results showed that EH-MSC treatment significantly increased GM-CSF expression and decreased IL-1 expression in a dose-dependent manner, with the most pronounced effects observed in the group receiving the highest dose of EH-MSCs. These findings suggest that EH-MSCs have both regenerative and anti-inflammatory properties, making them a promising therapeutic candidate for treating androgenetic alopecia.
