TLDR Oral contraceptives help mild hirsutism, while flutamide and spironolactone help severe cases.
Oral contraceptive pills (OCPs) were found to be effective for improving mild hirsutism, while flutamide (250 mg) taken twice daily and spironolactone were beneficial for more severe cases. Finasteride and gonadotropin-releasing analogues showed inconsistent results, and metformin did not demonstrate any benefit in treating hirsutism.
