TLDR Hair tonic with candlenut oil promotes hair growth and meets quality standards.
The document reviews the formulation of a hair tonic with active herbal ingredients containing flavonoids, specifically highlighting the effectiveness of candlenut oil (Aleurites moluccana L.) for hair growth. The study, which is a Systematic Literature Review (SLR), found that the best herbal hair tonic formulation included candlenut oil, which resulted in hair growth of up to 29.77 mm over 22 days. Additionally, the formulation passed pharmaceutic evaluations including organoleptic, pH, and viscosity tests, meeting the quality standards of SNI 16-4955-1998. This suggests that the hair tonic with candlenut oil is a viable alternative to synthetic hair tonics, offering a practical application, easy absorption, no irritation, and the added benefits of flavonoids' antioxidant properties that improve blood circulation and promote hair growth.

The post and conversation are about the role of the enzyme 3alpha-hydroxysteroid reductase in hair loss and the potential of compounds like procyanidin B2 and sulforaphane to boost its activity for hair regrowth. Further research is needed to develop effective treatments based on this theory.

The treatment for androgenetic alopecia involves using finasteride and minoxidil with intense exercise and cold exposure to boost metabolism and reduce androgenic effects, potentially leading to hair regrowth. This approach may activate biological pathways for improved hair and overall health.

A study that outlines the full model for androgenic alopecia (AGA) which links DHT to cellular senescence in dermal papilla cells, and suggests black chokeberry as a source of cyanidin 3-O-arabinoside polyphenol with potential anti-oxidant properties that could reverse this process. The post encourages reaching out to experts in anti-aging and longevity to research treatments involving the polyphenol.

community Can hair thinning be reversed?

      in Finasteride/Dutasteride  36 upvotes 2 years ago
The conversation is about the effectiveness of Dutasteride (Dut) and Minoxidil (Min) in reversing hair thinning. The user has been using Dut for 3 months and Min for a couple of years, and while hair fall has reduced, thinning continues. Other users suggest that Dut can reverse hair thinning over time, possibly beyond a year, and the outcome depends on individual body reactions and the degree of hair miniaturization.
