The study focused on creating a herbal hair oil formulation with ingredients like castor oil, sunflower oil, jojoba oil, olive oil, and pumpkin oil to promote hair growth and prevent hair fall. The oil was also designed to provide additional hair health benefits such as dandruff prevention, scalp health improvement, and protection against oxidative damage, with the latter confirmed by DPPH radical scavenging tests showing significant antioxidant activity in olive and sunflower oils. A trial involving 16 volunteers suffering from hair loss and other hair issues revealed that after 3 months of use, 56.25% reported increased hair growth and 50% observed a reduction in hair fall, with no significant side effects. The study, therefore, concluded that the herbal hair oil was effective and well-received by the participants.
