TLDR Some migraine sufferers had no more headaches after getting a hair transplant.
The document reports on a study involving 811 patients who underwent hair transplantation, out of which 6 patients with a history of migraines experienced complete cessation of their symptoms postoperatively. These 6 patients, 5 males and 1 female with migraine histories ranging from 6 to 20 years, showed a decrease in headache intensity from an average of 6.6 to 0 and frequency from 5.83 per month to 0, with a migraine pain index dropping from 149.33 per month to 0. These results were statistically significant with a p-value of <0.001. The study suggests that hair transplantation may alter sensory nerve function, potentially leading to migraine relief, and calls for further research to understand the mechanisms behind this observation.
