TLDR Surgical deactivation can significantly reduce or eliminate migraine symptoms.
The study conducted a 15-year retrospective review of 31 patients who underwent forehead rejuvenation (17 endoscopic and 14 open with pretrichial incision) and 11 control patients. It aimed to measure the effects of forehead rejuvenation on hairline recession. Results showed that the pretrichial incision group had a stable or improved hairline position over time, with no significant hairline recession, unlike the endoscopic and control groups. The pretrichial incision technique resulted in a stable hairline position, indicating no hair loss at the incision site. The study concluded that the pretrichial incision is more effective in maintaining hairline stability compared to the endoscopic technique or no forehead rejuvenation.
