TLDR Reflexology massage helps hair regrowth in women after chemotherapy.
This randomized clinical trial investigated the effects of reflexology massage on hair regrowth in 60 women with chemotherapy-induced alopecia (CIA). The experimental group received reflexology massage for 15 minutes, 3 times daily, for 3 months, while the control group received standard care. Hair regrowth was measured thrice monthly using Couliss Vernier. Results showed that the experimental group had significantly improved hair regrowth compared to the control group (p<0.001). The study concluded that reflexology massage could be an effective nonpharmacologic method for managing CIA and promoting hair regrowth in women undergoing chemotherapy.
