TLDR Ganoderma lucidum extract and microneedle therapy promote hair growth in mice.
This study investigated the effects of Ganoderma lucidum extract (GLE) and microneedle therapy system (MTS) on hair growth in C57BL/6N mice. Mice were divided into four groups and treated twice a week for three weeks. Results showed that both GLE + MTS and MTS alone promoted hair growth, with improvements in hair density, thickness, and length compared to the control group. Additionally, the expression of hair growth-related genes and proteins was increased in the GLE + MTS and MTS groups. GLE + MTS was found to be more effective than MTS alone, suggesting that these treatments could be useful for alopecia.
