TLDR Ganoderma lucidum extract and microneedle therapy can help treat hair loss.
This study investigated the effects of Ganoderma lucidum extract (GLE) and microneedle therapy system (MTS) on hair growth in C57BL/6N mice with alopecia. Mice were divided into four groups and treated twice a week for 3 weeks. Results showed that both GLE + MTS and MTS alone promoted hair growth, with improvements in hair density, thickness, and length compared to the control group. Additionally, the expression of hair growth-related genes and proteins was increased, and hair follicles and root growth were enhanced. GLE + MTS was found to be more effective than MTS alone, suggesting potential for alopecia treatment.
