TLDR Microneedling with minoxidil improved hair growth in elderly man.
A case report from two years ago found that microneedling combined with topical minoxidil showed positive effects on a 70-year-old man with long-standing androgenetic alopecia, resulting in significant hair growth with only minor adverse effects. This suggests that it could be a treatment option for severe AGA in elderly patients, but further clinical trials are needed to assess efficacy and safety. Microneedling has shown favorable effects on hair growth and is a minimally invasive procedure used for various dermatological conditions.
