TLDR Combining stem cell exosomes with microneedling improves facial skin aging effectively and safely.
This study evaluated the efficacy of combined treatment with adipose tissue stem cell exosomes (ASCE) and microneedling for facial skin aging in 28 individuals over a 12-week period. Participants received ASCE on one side of the face and a saline placebo on the other, followed by microneedling. Results showed significant improvements in skin wrinkles, elasticity, hydration, and pigmentation on the ASCE-treated side compared to the control side, as measured by the Global Aesthetic Improvement Scale (p = 0.005). Histopathological evaluations supported these clinical findings, and no serious adverse events were reported, indicating that ASCE combined with microneedling is an effective and safe treatment for facial skin aging.

The mechanism of Androgenic Alopecia and practical applications of treatments like Minoxidil, Finasteride, RU58841, dermarolling, scalp massages, anti-fungals, progesterone, estrogen, PPAR-γ activators, reducing oxidative stress, and scalp exercises. It explains why DHT is important in AA and how other factors might be involved such as hypoxia, increased DKK-1 expression, morphological changes to the scalp, skull growth during childhood/puberty, and blood flow.

Scalp biopsies are crucial for diagnosing hair loss conditions like Diffuse Unpatterned Alopecia (DUPA) and retrograde hair loss, as treatments like finasteride and dutasteride may not be effective if other conditions are present. Combining PPAR-GAMMA agonists with retinoids could improve treatments for conditions like Lichen Planopilaris.

community Topical finasteride now the safest possible path?

      in Finasteride/Dutasteride  72 upvotes 4 months ago
Topical finasteride is considered a safer option for hair regrowth with fewer systemic side effects compared to oral finasteride. Some users report similar efficacy and side effects between topical and oral treatments, while others prefer topical due to reduced systemic exposure.
