TLDR Intralesional triamcinolone injections can effectively stop frontal fibrosing alopecia with minimal side effects.
The retrospective study evaluated the efficacy and safety of intralesional triamcinolone acetonide injections (ITAI) in 40 female patients with frontal fibrosing alopecia (FFA), primarily as part of combination therapy. The results showed that ITAI effectively halted the progression of FFA with minimal adverse effects, mainly mild pain. The study concluded that ITAI could be a viable treatment option for FFA, though further randomized controlled trials are necessary to assess its efficacy as a monotherapy.
