TLDR LAIC cream can improve acne by making skin thinner and softer.
The study aimed to observe the effects of lipid and acne inhibitive cream (LAIC) on an acne model in rabbit ears. Sixteen New Zealand white rabbits were divided into experimental and control groups, with oleic acid used to induce acne. The experimental group received LAIC treatment, while the control group received tretinoin cream. Results showed that LAIC improved the skin condition by making it thinner and softer, reducing corneous plugs, and relieving papules. Histologically, LAIC reduced cuticle thickness and mildly expanded follicular orifices. Both groups showed significant improvements before and after treatment, but there was no significant difference between the two groups. The study concluded that LAIC could improve abnormal cornification of hair follicles in acne.
