Effect of Hair Tonic Formulations Containing Long Bean Leaf Juice (Vigna Sinensis (L.) Savi Ex Hassk) on Hair Growth in Male Rabbits

    This study evaluated the effect of hair tonic formulations containing long bean leaf juice on hair growth in male rabbits. Four sample formulas with 0%, 5%, 10%, and 15% concentrations of the leaf juice were tested, along with a positive control containing minoxidil. Hair length and weight were measured on day 22. Results showed that hair length and weight increased with higher concentrations of bean leaf juice, with the 15% formula showing significant growth comparable to the minoxidil control. The data analysis confirmed that the bean leaf juice formulations significantly promoted hair growth, suggesting their potential as effective hair tonics.
