TLDR Finasteride improves acne and hair loss in women with normal testosterone.
This study investigated the effectiveness of finasteride in treating acne and alopecia in women with normal levels of free testosterone. Twelve patients were included in the study, and nine of them reported significant improvement in their symptoms after taking finasteride. The study suggests that finasteride may be a useful treatment option for women with acne or androgenetic alopecia who have normal levels of free testosterone. However, further research is needed to determine the precise indications for the use of finasteride in these patients.
