TLDR A100 gel may increase hair growth without side effects, but more research is needed.
The study conducted 7 years ago investigated the effects of A100 gel, a product containing a lipophilic pollen extract, Aloe Vera, vitamin E, zinc chloride, zinc oxide, and biotin, on hair growth and quality in 20 male subjects aged 18-40 with androgenic alopecia. Over a period of 4 months, the subjects applied the gel twice daily to areas of reduced hair growth and quality. The results showed a statistically significant increase in the number of hairs after 4 months of treatment, with 56% of the 16 subjects who completed the treatment experiencing an increase in hair growth of more than 50%, and 31% having an increase over 100%. No side effects were reported, and the subjects found A100 gel to be a cosmetically attractive treatment. The study concluded that A100 gel has a stimulatory effect on hair growth with no reported side effects, but further, larger and controlled trials are necessary to prove its efficacy.
