TLDR DHEA treatment helps grow pubic hair and boosts mood in girls with adrenal issues.
In a study conducted on adolescent girls with central adrenal insufficiency, daily oral administration of 25 mg of dehydroepiandrosterone (DHEA) was found to be beneficial. The treatment led to the disappearance of atrichia pubis, which is the absence of pubic hair, and significantly improved psychological well-being.
