TLDR The shampoo with minoxidil maintains its consistency well and spreads evenly on the scalp.
The study conducted by I. V. Gnitko, V. V. Gladishev, A. P. Lisyanskaya, and I. A. Biriuk in 2016 investigated the consistent properties of a gelatinous shampoo containing 1% minoxidil for the complex therapy and prevention of alopecia. The shampoo was selected based on physical-chemical, biopharmaceutical, and microbiological investigations. The researchers found that the shampoo had exceptional thixotropic composition, meaning it could restore its consistency after mechanical loads, predicting stability during long-term storage. The dynamic flowing factors of the foam detergent gel with minoxidil (Кd1=38.9%; Kd2=78.06%) confirmed a sufficient degree of distribution when applied to the scalp or during manufacturing operations. The insignificant difference in "mechanical stability" between the gelatinous minoxidil 1% shampoo and its base indicated no interactions between the active substance and the base.

This user, "ediblediety", has been taking oral minoxidil (1.25 mg daily), keto shampoo and occasional derm-rolling for 4 months to treat their hair loss, and they have experienced a shedding phase after the first few weeks of use. They report improvements in the thickness of their facial and body hair, but note that this may be daunting to women.

The conversation is about hair loss treatments, with users recommending finasteride and minoxidil as effective solutions. Some users report side effects, but overall, the consensus is to use these treatments rather than waiting for a cure.
