This study evaluated the transdermal delivery of collagen peptides using Strat-M® membrane and excised mouse skin. The results indicated that the transdermal rate of collagen peptides increased linearly over time for both methods, with different concentrations affecting the cumulative transmission. Among the tested peptides, CP500 showed the highest cumulative transmission per unit area and transdermal rate. The study found a strong correlation (R² > 0.98) between the cumulative transmission through Strat-M® and excised mouse skin, suggesting that Strat-M® can effectively replace excised mouse skin for in vitro transdermal experiments. These findings can assist formulators in the pharmaceutical, personal care, and cosmetic industries in selecting appropriate vehicles during early development stages.

      community Minxodil collegen synthesis decrease?

in Minoxidil  3 upvotes 1 year ago
Minoxidil may age skin by slowing collagen synthesis, but using collagen peptides and a basic skincare routine might counteract this. Foam minoxidil could reduce systemic absorption and avoid alcohol-related side effects.
