TLDR Combining CO2 laser with platelet-rich plasma is more effective for treating acne scars than laser alone.
This retrospective analysis evaluated the safety and efficacy of combining CO2 dot matrix laser with platelet-rich plasma (PRP) for treating depressed scars after acne vulgaris in 81 patients. The study found that the combined treatment significantly improved scar repair, with a higher total effective rate (94.87% vs. 78.57%) and better clinical outcomes compared to the control group receiving only laser treatment. The combined treatment group also experienced fewer adverse reactions and shorter healing times. Factors such as the course of disease, scar degree, and staying up late were identified as influencing repair outcomes. The study concludes that CO2 dot matrix laser combined with PRP is a safe and effective method for treating depressed scars after acne vulgaris, offering enhanced repair effects and patient satisfaction.
