TLDR The HairLux device safely and effectively promotes hair growth in people with hair loss.
In a study conducted in 2018, a novel fractional radiofrequency (RF) device, HairLux, was evaluated for its efficacy and safety in stimulating hair growth in patients with androgenetic alopecia (AGA). The study included 25 patients (18 females and 7 males) aged between 19 and 73, who underwent 10 RF treatments at two-week intervals. Results showed that 23 out of 25 patients experienced less hair shedding, faster hair growth, and fuller hair. Manual hair counts in 10 patients revealed an average increase of 31.6% in hair density and an 18% increase in hair shaft thickness. The treatments were well-tolerated with no serious adverse events, and the majority of patients reported satisfaction with the results. The study concluded that the HairLux device is effective and safe for hair growth stimulation in AGA.
