Clinical Evaluation of Hair Regrowth Tonics Containing Oleanolic Acid

    TLDR The hair regrowth tonic effectively increased hair count and was safe for treating male pattern baldness.
    The study evaluated a hair regrowth tonic containing 22.5% swertia extract with oleanolic acid on 14 males under 50 with male pattern baldness. After 4 months, the treated areas showed a significant increase in hair count, while placebo areas did not. Clinically significant effects were observed in 3 patients, and only 1 patient experienced mild itching. The tonic was deemed effective and safe for treating male pattern baldness.
