    TLDR Cimetidine does not significantly reduce hair growth in hirsutism.
    The study investigated the effects of cimetidine on hair growth in 4 women with hirsutism and 3 women with peptic ulcers as controls over 9 months. While hair growth slowed in all treated women, the results were not statistically significant. A significant decrease in urine 17-ketosteroids was observed, but there were no substantial changes in plasma levels of testosterone, 17-beta estradiol, progesterone, FSH, LH, and prolactin. The study concluded that cimetidine did not have a significant impact on hair growth to warrant its use in treating hirsutism.
