Processing and Evaluation of Tonic Hair Extract of Cassava Leaves (Manihot Esculenta Crantz): Combination with Rose Water in Male Rabbits

The study investigated the effects of a hair tonic made from cassava leaf extract combined with rose water juice on hair growth in male rabbits. The tonic was prepared in concentrations of 5%, 7.5%, and 10%, and included additional ingredients like propylenglycol and menthol. Over four weeks, the hair growth was measured by plucking and analyzing the length of the longest hairs. The results showed that the 10% concentration of the cassava leaf extract tonic led to a better hair length growth of 0.30 mm compared to a commercial product, Natur, which resulted in 0.25 mm growth.
