TLDR Stopping steroids and providing supportive care improved the patient's Cushing Syndrome symptoms and ulcers.
A 36-year-old female developed multiple ulcers and other symptoms after using topical steroids for itchy lesions, leading to a diagnosis of iatrogenic Cushing Syndrome. She presented with puffiness of the face, swelling of the legs, weight gain, and characteristic physical features such as moon face, buffalo hump, and centripetal obesity. Laboratory tests showed low serum cortisol and ACTH, new-onset diabetes, and iron deficiency anemia. Treatment included discontinuation of steroids, IV antibiotics, and hydrocortisone, resulting in symptomatic improvement and healing of ulcers.
